Quick Route Finder — Look at the QR Code Logo
Step-by-Step Driver Checklist
- Check QR code screenshot — fully visible on screen, brightness turned all the way up.
- Check expiration — confirm the return window on the QR code has not expired.
- Match the item — confirm the item matches the return ticket (correct color, size, model).
- Loose items (Amazon / Happy Returns) — walk straight to the counter with the item in your hand. Let the clerk scan the QR code first, then hand them the item. Do not put it in a box.
- Packaged items (FedEx / USPS) — make sure the item is taped up inside a shipping box or poly-mailer before you walk in. The clerk scans the QR, prints a sticker, and puts it on the package.
- In-store retail (Walmart / Target) — walk to the Customer Service desk. Say "I have an app return." Let them scan the barcode.
- Get a physical receipt — always ask the clerk for a printed return drop-off receipt.
- Take a photo — photograph the receipt inside the app. This is the customer's proof that the return was processed.
High-Alert "Do Not" Rules
⚠️ NEVER use your personal ID
If a store asks for your driver's license to process a return — stop immediately. This means the customer gave you a no-receipt return instead of a QR code. Tell the clerk you cannot complete it and return the item to the customer. Using your ID will get you blacklisted from that store.
⚠️ Do NOT box Happy Returns items
Happy Returns charge the online brands by weight and package size. If you put a Happy Returns item in a heavy shipping box, the clerk will make you open it and take it out anyway. Bring it loose — they provide the packaging at the counter.
⚠️ Never handle cash or process refunds
Your job ends at the counter. Refunds go directly from the retailer to the customer's original payment method. If a customer asks you to bring back cash or a gift card — that is not a return pickup job, decline it.
